 Daybreak
« Thread Started on Jul 26, 2007, 10:07am »

The young blood stained stallion sighed in relaxation with his head low as he walked over the moorland. His muzzle was down near the ground, his whiskers touching the grass and plants that sprouted up from the moist soil. The morning dew still sat on the blades of grass and the leaves of plants, like little diamonds that shone as the rising sun shone down. The Hunter stopped and looked up, seeing that he was alone, but with a few other horses in the far distant. He blinked and turned his head around to his barral to scratch his girth where an irritating itch had persisted for the last few minutes. Once he was satisfied he shook his head and then his body, his mane and tail flicking from side to side quickly and sending the flies away. The stallion snorted and lowered his head to graze once he was finished looking around. A few moments of grazin in one spot and the brute was off again, walking the moor and sniffing the ground. He was heading up to the small herd that were happily grazing up ahead. After a few cautious appraoches, the stallion eventually caught up with a mare. He arched his neck as his nostrils matched up to the mare's and they gentle blew to one another. It was a clam and interesting moment, before it was sadly interuppted by another stallion, defending his patch of the moorland, and his mare. Red did not stay to bargin with the other stallion, and in a flash he turned and cantared off, away from the herd until he was far enough for the oppsoing stallion to return back to his herd. Red turned and snorted loudly in respect, but also in a way that showed he was obviously embaressed and trying to show he still had his dignity and ego. So, with a last look of desperation, he set off across the moor again, still alone.

Kalypso
Follow that rainbow

You know them times , when all you want is just to be alone. To be happy in your own company and to absorb the serenity of the scene that you embrace. This was the mood of Innocent fea as she wandered 'pon the lush vegetation that blossomed around the area. The cirrus clouds passed peacefully over her crown as she gazed into the great blue yonder. Fluttering her lobes , she heard the sweet rhymes that small , pale breasted birds sang to one another. They were just so mesmerizing . Like she was floating , the damsel began to wander . Her pillars carried her bodice with grace and stability. Breathing deep , her lungs inhaled the sweet scents which flooded the area.
trees owned the area , with branches twisted and en-twined together , to form a large area which created great shelter from mid day sun. The damp moss was cool and a refreshing change from the ground in hotter summers , when the harshness pains her onyx daggers.Throwing back her regal dial she snapped from her pleasant trance and began snapping her pearls at the swarms of blood suckers around her. Narrowing her icy lamps , she ground her snow painted ivories , growing ever impatient of the winged pest that buzzed around her tall radar. Shaking her tiara for one more time , she began to bed down by under the shade of the trees.
She could feel the marsh swashing under her bodice as she moved . Pulling her pillars under her , the nymph swung her tail back ans forth.Swatting any of the insects in its path. Resting once more she closed her weary pools with slight resistance , unsure of what other creatures lurked around the dangerous plains With her towers forever acting like radar , scanning the area , she pasted a relaxed grin across her mug. The twittering birds continued to sing.
She had not yet noticed the other equine.

There is always gold at the end.

The brujo yawned and snorted, causing his muzzle to vibrate and tickle. He looked up over to the moorlands and could see humans in the distance walking along the road. His ears flickered from side to the front, his head high as he watched intently before walking on. He was approaching the mare from behind, unaware of her presence as she lay under the tree that dripped fresh dew that had become top heavy for the leaves to hold. His hooves hit the marsh and his weight caused him to sink, and upturn the foundations, leaving a trail of muddy hoofprints behind him. He soon arrived on the same path as the mare and seeing a black blob in the cornor of his eye he quickly swayed to the side away from her, suprised at the sudden apperance. He turned after a few meters of trotting and smelt the air. He then realised it was a femme and flickered his ears forward - curious and interested to find a lone mare. Maybe his luck was finally in. He nickered softly to her, feeling rather dumb for shying at such a small and harmless creature.

Abnormal scents tickled her dark nares, they flared with this strange smell.Soon realizing that it was the aroma of another equus.Lobes erect, the vixen bolted upright, her alpine dusted pearls bared in aggression.Quickly , she rose to her knives.Stumbling ever so slightly , the fea locked her pale orbs onto the equine statue. 'Tis a brute she thought , both of her icy lamps scanning his physique. All barons are the same she continued to run through her dial.

And who may you be ? she snapped , unsure whether he was a threat or not.Kalypso was normally friendly and welcoming , but she could never be to careful.Stamping down her front piston, stretching out 'er long pillar.Dipping her elegant crown , she showed her politeness through her abrupt introduction.
Excuse me , Beg your pardon sir, she spoke , vocals back their angelic self.I be Kalypso.

Red looked at the wench and snorted with a frown at her abrupt question. He lifted his head and walked closer to her for a few steps to inspect her. I am dubbed Red, young fae. I apoligise for startling you, for I myself, was suprised by your hidden presence he replied sticking out his wide and strong chest as he stood square. His color radiated with excitment now that he had found a lonesome vixen. So, Kalypso, do you walk the moor alone or with others of our kind? he asked walking a line before her, still being cautious to appraoch her just in case she was with a herd and another lord was close by. His daggers were huge and heavy, lethal if he was to be involved in a battle. They sank deep into the marsh and drew up mud and the roots of plants - it was obvious he would make a good lord and king of a herd, it was just unfortunate that he was still quite young, but with quick and sly moves he had succesfully produced offspring so it gave him some advantage.

With her spirits raised , her heart rate dropped knowing that he too was surprised. He seemed safe enough, although she was still watching him with caution. Standing tall , she gazed up at him , piercing glare sizing him up.So glad to meet you m'Lord, nay Red, I be lonesome , so you need not worry about others. Kalypso spoke , each word growing with more confidence to speak to such a stranger.Batting her lashes , the damsel tilted her crown . And you ? she puzzled , Are you the bold leader of a strong herd? Knowing very well that he was far too young to have one of his own.Kalypso was slightly older than he was , she could tell by the way he acted around fea's.This mare had seen many of his kind. Young and Naive.Yet this one seem more genuine than the other stags, must where ignorant.Standing up tall , she noticed that the brute was rather handsome.

Unfortunately I am alone nor a leader, though I am bold. I still have much to learn to gather and have other follow me. Though some day it will happen. However, instead of battling for one and taking the herd of another stag - I shall create my own. With all the lone faes I find I shall show them love and confidence and hopefully sire many offspring to keep my herd strong and throughout all of this my knowledge, experience and strength will grow he replied rising his head and showing his strong roman face. The white blaze stained his forhead and down his nose to his muzzle. His lips were painted ebon and the rest of his coat was blood stained though his legs were traced with more pure colors however they were hidden by the dirt and mud of the marsh. [b]
